Mrs. Edna Gros, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2011, in Huntersville, NC. Edna, a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother was born on February 1, 1922. She was a talented artist and musician who loved playing bridge and had a passion for gardening and bird watching. Edna was born and raised in Winston Salem, NC. She lived a number of years in Yadkinville, NC before moving to Charlotte, NC. Edna will be missed by the many people that loved her.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Sue York Gray and husband, George Bennett Gray of Cornelius, NC; her granddaughter, Angie Gray Lambert and husband, Kevin Henry Lambert of Huntersville, NC; her great grandchildren, Christopher Kevin Lambert and Kelsey Angela Lambert of Huntersville, NC; her brother, Ellis Ray Wilson; her three sisters, Geraldine Bolin, Audrey Vaughn and Sylvia Jean Holder.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC from 5 to 7pm.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Yadkinville, NC at Deep Creek Friends Church at 1pm. |
